• Knowledge of VLSI at the level of Weste's text (Principles of CMOS VLSI Design), like 97.584
• HDL and VLSI tools, like Verilog, HSpice, Cadence, Synopsis

How well the topic or the problem is introduced pointing out its motivation and significance	How well the background material needed to comprehend the topic is presented	How well, detailed,  and clearly the method is described	How well the results are presented, discussed, and commented	summary, strong points, weaknesses, future directions,	How clearly, loudly, and passionately is the presentation overall	How fluent is the presenter in talking and constructing sentences (not reading from slides)	Visual appearance and organization of slides:  5 points per slides and lots of clear pictures	How well presenter adheres to allocated time of 15 minutes	How well questions from audience are answered	Overall mark
