  • The s-parameter data files are provided for the BFP450 transistor below. You should read the file 1bias.txt first to determine the name convention for the s-parameter files as a function of DC bias. The chosen s-parameter file can be pasted into your Libra file, or into your user directory for access by ADS.

  • SPICE parameters are also provided for the BFP450 transistor below. These will not be needed unless you wish to do a large signal simulation of the amplifier (not necessary for the project.

  • The frequencies for the filter project will be assigned below.

  • I have ordered some new and cheaper ceramic caps for the amplifier project. The caps are 1.6 mm wide by 3.2 mm long -- leave a 2mm gap to solder them in. The nominal capacitcance is 8.2pf. It is series resonant at 2.09 GHz with equivalent series resistance (ESR) 0.6 ohm and euiqvalent series inductance (ESL) 0.65nH.
