Engineering Design Requirements
The design experience in the undergraduate program culminates in the 4th year engineering design project. A wide range of project topics is offered, some directly related to research underway in the Department of Electronics, and others more closely resembling industrial development. Students are expected to take a major responsibility in proposing the project, formulating the work, defining economic and business relevance, developing work schedule, and carrying out the project on schedule. Compared to taking courses, the project requires a much higher level of creativity, motivation and self-discipline. The projects typically tackle problems for which there may be several different solutions. The end-product will vary widely depends on your creativity, design judgment, planning and work. Projects typically focus heavily on design, analysis, implementation or experimentation. Each student is expected to produce a contribution that is beyond the background material provided.
